Middle of the Semester

First off, if you have not heard, I have been called to serve in the Texas San Antonio Mission as a representative for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. And I will be speaking Spanish :) Bonus!! Here is the temple in the area I will be serving in: Just look at that SKY!! i can't wait to see more like it :) cassie has been telling me san antonio has killer sunsets.
Above, Cassie and I went to see the Lion King on Broadway. SO good. Below my housemate Lindsey (Art major and from TEXAS) had to draw the house, I wanted to practice watercoloring so I decided to go out with her and we both made artwork of Chestnut house. It was great fun.
It Finally snowed! I had been waiting all semester. it snowed in february. Cassie and I worked hard on our snowman. We decided it had more of a girly figure so we dressed her up with leaves and branches from the yard and named her Eve. Sadly the next morning it was so warm out Eve fell (hahaha). One of our best snow creations I'd say.
I went on a snow sunday walk, it was gorgeous!!
Our snow angels.
Look what Cassie did to my eggs!! it was so hard to use them and what a funny surprise to see my eggs all colored up. so clever.
Spring Break!! was great. Cassie and I stayed in BV for the week. I worked a ton on my senior paper and was anxiously waiting each day for the mailman. It wore me out and my call didn't even come that week :) so glad it's hear now. We couldn't only do homework during our break so to feel like we went somewhere for vacation we made a nice fort in the drawing room and slept there everynight. Best Idea!
Another adventure was our picnic at Glen Maury Park
The whole week Cassie and I switched off making dinners, which was a blast and super delicious. One of our favorites was the asparagus flatbread. yummmm in my tum...
After Spring Break... school has been flying by. One sunday Cassie picked me flowers. They smelt SO good! Right before I would go to sleep I could just lie in bed and smell the scent of the flowers from my desk, loved it!
Oh, and then my call finally came, one month later. It came on a Tuesday. When I saw my bishop to tell him the news he gave me a confused look and said "Tuesday? they never come on Tuesday. Never tuesday." It made me laugh. Cassie and I celebrated with Mom and Dad's favorite Jamaican drink.
Pretty pretty sunset :)
Went on another temple trip
and ate at Cheesecake factory (its the same one we went to to get our cheesecake during New Years)
The last of the pictures I have of recent happenings is a date I went on last Friday (before Conference weekend). We [Paige, Coulter, Don and I] had an Easter egg scavenger hunt where we were given a task to do from one egg and another egg gave us a hint to the next spot. And with each stop we found an ingredient for dessert. Dessert shown below:
The boys were planning to just throw all the ingredients in but Paige really wanted to make it look nice first. So we layered it with brownies, ice cream, fudge, mint oreos, strawberries and WaLA beautiful!
Until the Ice Cream melted and everything just mushed together. It was a ton of fun. :) and coincidentally, my date Don served in the Frankfurt Germany Mission like Connor will be! He says its the greatest mission but I'm thinking Texas will be just as great :)
